Kohima, January 30 (MExN): Financial inclusion mela under Zubza block was held at Council Hall, Sechü-Zubza on January 29. Speaking on Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission Schemes (NSRLM), Kenivole Mejura, Asstt District Program Manager, NSRLM, DMMU Kohima stated that NSRLM has been implemented in the block for the past two years.
A DIPR report stated, Mejura said that the NSRLM was an elevation mission for the rural people across the country where the mission has been headed by the women with the benefits for the whole household which have been working under a framed work where professionals from the NHRM, community cadres, helping and assisting the communities in the villages and providing different services including, community convergence, financial inclusion and innovation such as market linkages and capacity building in promoting village level organisation where 10 or more SHGs come together to form Village Level Organisation for financial institution.
Stating that to make institution more effective and functional under the farm livelihood, livelihood farm and non-livelihood farming have been implemented at different levels where agricultural promotion as well as livestock activities are being promoted for the nutritional and organic farming, mainly focused on the improvement of paddy and piggery, poultry, health sanitation, proper housing and social inclusion such as working with people with disabilities and elderly people. She said that the department has tied up with different line departments to get access to the rights and entitlements and ensured that every SHG has a bank account to get access to various insurances, credits, and pension under various schemes. She mentioned that under DDPMJSY, skills and placement are also promoted for the unemployment youths. She urged the participants to create awareness to the villages so that women are aware of their rights and entitlements to avail the benefits.
The programme was organized by NSRLM Block Mission Management Unit Sechü-Zubza, RD Block, Credit Lingages with Bank and Social Security schemes was elaborated by SBI Sechü-Zubza, RD programs and schemes by RD Block, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandanayojna by social welfare department, Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan by Labour department, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana by Manager Clairvoyance Technologies and overview of NSRLM under Sechü-Zubza was delivered by Block Program Manager NSRLM, BMMU Sechü-Zubza, Vikepelie Mejura.
