MOKOKCHUNG, April 21 (MExN):  The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) Mission Director Imtimenla, Joint Secretary to RD & Mission along with State Mission Management Unit (SMMU) team visited Mongsenyimti Village under RD Block Chuchuyimlang Block, Mokokchung.

The programme was hosted by the District Mission Management Unit (DMMU) Mokokchung and Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU Chuchuyimlang)

The visit was undertaken as a monitoring support under NSRLM, which at present has target coverage of 11 Districts, 74 Blocks and 1241 Villages in the State. The SMMU team was led by M Rollan Lotha, Chief Operating Officer NSRLM, Elilo Odyuo, SPM(Finance), Imonenla Imkong Phom, SPM(IBCB, M&E) , Renvungo Murry, SPM-MIS,  Rajuselie Lhousaspm-FI, Vesuyi Tetso, SPM-IQAB, Lansothung Yanthan, PM-Finance, Alongba Imchen,  Accountant from Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM).

They interacted with the VLOs and Community Resource Persons (CRPs) for implementing livelihood strategies in the Block. The team also visited the livelihood sites such as Nutritional Garden and Piggery breeding unit Project at Mongsenyimti village.

Moatoshi ADPM DMMU Mokokchung presented the comprehensive achievements report in the District for the FY 2020-2021.

Mission Director Imtimenla Joint Secretary to RD & Mission exhorted the SHGs members by highlighting the success of women SHGs in NSRLM across the State and appealed to the village council, elders and every individual for their cooperation in the success of the mission.

Toshimongla Kichu, Project Director DRDA Mokokchung commended the progress the mission has made in the District and the work culture of the Mission staff and ensured her full cooperation to the Mission.

M Rollan Lotha while applauding DMMU Mokokchung as a piloting district for the significant progress made in the NSRLM target, reiterated the importance of documentation.

He also shared about the Mission’s mandate on formation of Community Level federation and intervention in the lives of the rural poor household through Livelihoods Support.

He urged the team to come up with innovative ideas towards creating sustainable income generating activities so as to make Mongsenyimti Village a ‘Model Village’.
