Longmatra, May 20 (MExN): The Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) Longmatra Block organised the launching programme of Promoting Digital Transaction at Gram Panchayat Level campaign under Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav 2.0 at Tethuyo Village under Longmatra Block on May 19.
Speaking at the event, Kuramong AC, FI, Longmatra Block said the campaign is a National movement to promote digital transaction and provide financial services at the door step. In order to facilitate women SHGs in accessing banking services, BC Sakhi from the village has been deputed by the NSRLM. He encouraged all to avail services provided by the BC Sakhi.
There are various social security schemes like PMJJBY, PMSBY etc and Health Insurance schemes like PMJAY and CMHIS provided by the Government but most of the rural villagers are not enrolled in these schemes, he stated and encouraged all to enrol in these schemes also.
Florence, BC Sakhi from Tethuyo village said that she will be available for any type of bank transaction and enrolment for various social security schemes provided by the Government and they do not need to travel to bank for accessing individual Bank related transaction. This will save both time and resources. “We are in a digital era and everything can be done by just clicking a fingerprint,” she said.
Transaction and enrolment drive was held after the programme.
