MoU between NSRLM and SELCO Foundation signed by Moa Sangtam, Mission Director, NSRLM, and Huda Jaffer, Director, SELCO Foundation.
Kohima, September 16 (MExN): The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SELCO Foundation to strengthen rural women-led enterprises through enterprise development, technology, capacity building and market linkages.
The MoU will focus on incubation of women-led food-processing enterprises in Dimapur, Kohima, Peren and Phek; building a Champion Network for peer learning and mentorship; and expanding access to decentralised renewable energy and productive-use technologies for rural enterprises.
Speaking at the signing, NSRLM Mission Director Moa Sangtam said the partnership would help provide support based on the actual needs of entrepreneurs, including technology, enterprise development, branding, marketing and access to networks.
The partnership is expected to support 500 rural women annually, the NSRLM stated.
