Kohima, November 24 (MExN): The Administrative Training Institute conducted the inaugural programme for the foundation course of the Nagaland Secretariat Service (NSS) (Probationers) on November 21 at ATI, Kohima.
Forty NSS trainees who cleared the recently conducted NPSC CSE (Nagaland Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination) will be attached to the ATI for a period of four (4) months intensive foundation training, stated a DIPR report.
The programme was chaired by Peter Konyak, Lecturer. A round of self introduction was given by the Trainees followed by an overview of the course by Kaholi Sema, Joint Director & Course Coordinator.
The special address was delivered by V. Shashank Shekhar, IAS, Director General, ATI, Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture) and Agricultural Production Commissioner.
In his address, he congratulated the trainees on their success and stated that such success can be achieved only by continuous hard work over their entire student life. He also acknowledged the unseen contributions of their families and communities. He urged them to give back to society by setting an example as role model employees and citizens. He appealed the trainees to conduct themselves with integrity, live up to the expectations, and continue to work hard.
The Secretariat being a think-tank of the State Government where all policies are shaped, he suggested they should make use of the opportunity to serve society. He quoted that in our work we should have a larger vision for the good of people and society.
