NSSA holds farewell programme in honour of retiring officers

Kohima, April 25 (DIPR): During 2018 a total of 23 officials of various rankings, from Secretary to Under Secretary of the Nagaland Secretariat Service Association, have been released from service on completion of 35 years of service among whom one was on attaining the age of superannuation as per an order of State P&AR Department.  

A farewell programme in honour of the NSS officers organized by NSSA was held on April 25 at the Secretariat Conference Hall Kohima.  

The combined farewell programme of various officers from different departments was the first of its kind that was been accorded to the NSSA officials.  

On behalf of the retiring officers, C. Kikon Secretary Home gave a farewell speech. Kikon said that attaining retirement is the greatest achievement for a government servant. He also exhorted the junior upcoming officers to work hard to earn good experience and efficiency and also become an asset to the state.  

Sweho Naleo, the senior most official of the NSS with the retirement of his senior officials today gave a speech on behalf of the NSS. He attributed the retiring officers that they have been backbone and the Association as well. “Your guidance and encouragement in the course of our journey as Government Servants has been made all the more worthwhile because of your mentorship”.  

Leader in the programme was Kitto Swu, V.P. NSSA. Invocation was led by Imti Longchar and Johny Humtsoe, President NSSA has made closing remarks. Special number and presentation with Mementos were the highlights of the programme.
