DIMAPUR, APRIL 3 (MExN): The Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (NSSATA) 2010 & 2013 batch has urged the Nagaland Government to include them in the State Non-Plan.
A representation addressed to the Advisor, School Education maintained that the post of the SSA 2010 & 2013, both the Graduate and Primary Teachers, is the creation of the Government of Nagaland as stated in the advertisement, and not by the SSA. Also, as per the RTI reply to Ponchulo Wanth, President, All Nagaland State Teachers’ Association (ANSTA), dated September 3, 2013, the post creation was not done by the SSA but purely a Government of Nagaland undertaking, it stated.
The Association also stated that apart from the payment of their salaries which is financed by the SSA programme, the teachers in concern enjoy all benefits as that of a state employee. It lamented that despite numerous representations submitted to the government for the same, it has turned a deaf ear and failed to address their grievances so far.
In this connection, the NSSATA has urged the Advisor, School Education to take appropriate action and incorporate the SSA Teachers 2010 & 2013 batches into the State Non-Plan.
It has also urged the State Government to accommodate the SSA Teachers (2010 & 2013 batches) in the Graduate and Primary teachers’ posts which are reportedly lying vacant. Proposing to the State Government to withhold all appointments of teachers until its demand is met, the Association cautioned it will not remain mute spectators if any such appointments were to take place.
