DIMAPUR, APRIL 8 (MExN): The Nagaland SSA Teachers Association (NSSATA) has informed that it will continue with the second phase of its agitation, beginning April 11. A press note from the Association stated that this has been resolved due to the “lack of response and efforts on the part of the state government to solve the existing issue, which has been ailing the SSA teachers, students and the entire educational system as a whole.” NSSATA said that pending salaries, at present, are for the months of December 2013, January 2014, February 2014, March 2014 and arrears of 2013. “In spite of all these hardships, the SSA teachers have suspended the boycott of classes from April 1 to 10, for the smooth functioning of the Lok Sabha election, as most of the SSA teachers were appointed for election duty,” it added. The NSSATA however cautioned that it would be “forced to turn violent if the issue is not resolved through peaceful means, for which, the concerned department and the state government will be held responsible for any untoward incidents.”
