Peren, November 7 (MExN): Nagaland SSA Teachers’ Association (NSSATA) Peren Unit has reminded the state government and concerned authority to hold weightage of the written agreement signed on June 12, 2018. NSSATA, President, Huzengluibo and General Secretary, Kelidau in a press release stated that salary from June 2018 till date is pending and the unit has requested the authority to take necessary steps and measures for timely release of SSA teacher’s salary as stated in the “agreement letter.” The press release stated that the payment of regular salary became ineffective from the very month of signing the agreement. The Unit also added that the agreement proved to be a failure as the entire SSA teachers were yet to get their salaries since June 2018, inspite of discharging their duties diligently. NSSATA Peren unit stated that “their salary is the only source and means of sustenance for children’s education and livelihood.” “After so many years of facing the same issue,” the unit said “the Government should have realize that failure on its part to bring about permanent solution to the problem of timely payment of salary has adversely affecting in the delivery of quality education in the state.” Therefore, NSSATA Peren Unit has appealed to the Government and concerned authority to release the pending salaries at the earliest.
