Tuensang, November 21 (MExN): While acknowledging the demand of NSSATA (2010-2013) in regard to the demand of salary, the NSSATA Tuensang Unit has extended support to the demand for the release of pending salary.
The NSSATA Tuensang Unit in a press statement issued by its President, Aliba and General Secretary, Beti welcomed the decision of the Cabinet to streamline (SSA-2010 & 2013) into the mainstream of the school education cadre in the Agenda-1 decision of the Cabinet sitting on September 26, 2018. The Unit also welcomed the Department Of School Education for tirelessly working to bring out the solution at the earliest.
The Unit maintained that regular payment of salaries was one of the main agenda, particularly signed on June 12, 2018 in the presence of NSF and ENSF. However, the Government failed to respond in spite of repeated assurance to meet the needs of aggrieved teachers.
“Moreover, recently release of salaries from June-August is in the process of being credited which will only serve as the purpose of clearing the month long debts only,” stated.
The Unit alleged that the GoN also failed to meet the needs of children and unable to support the family. “SSA Teachers are facing untold miseries even among the colleagues and in the society. Mostly Aggrieved Teachers celebrate Teachers Day and Christmas with empty pockets despite of serving its best in the field of school education. When deeply looked into the matter it also infringed the Human Rights against the aggrieved SSA Teachers.”
The NSSATA Tuensang Unit has therefore, urged the government to release the pending salaries along with the 7 ROP with effect from September. “As Christmas is approaching we the aggrieved teachers demand pending salaries before the 1st week of December,” it stated.
Moreover, it added that with much hope the unit extended full cooperation towards NSF and ENSF and therefore, urges them to continue its support towards the aggrieved teachers and bring out the fruitful solution.
