Kohima, June 29 (MExN): Alongwith the rest of the country, the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO), Field Operations Division (FOD), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation Govt.of India, Regional Office Kohima, Nagaland celebrated the 11thNational Statistics Day on June 29.
The Statistics Day is coincides with the birth anniversary of Late. Prof PC Mahalanobis, the father National Statistics in India. The theme of this year’s celebration was “Administrative Statistics”. A press note from the Regional Office Director MM Singh informed that professors and students from the faculty of Statistics Department, Kohima Science College also participated in the celebration.
The main highlight of the day included keynote address by the Director on the theme of the day “Administrative Statistics” to the participants as well as speeches were also given by invitees from Kohima Science College, it added. The programme was conducted by Nenghoilhing Haolai, Junior Statistical Officer, while welcomeaddress was delivered by Mhabemo Ngullie, Senior Statistical Officer. It ended with a Vote of Thanks was delivered by LK.Ngathingkhui Senior Statistical Officer.
