NStCB Ltd ATM booth opens in Kohima

Nagaland State Co-operative Bank (NStCB) Ltd today opened ATM booth at its branch premises near taxi stand here. It was inaugurated by Kohima Deputy Commissioner Rovilatuo Mor. He congratulated the NStCB Ltd for opening its first ATM in Kohima district, adding that it has achieved a great landmark through it.  

Emphasizing on the need of utilizing services of the bank in today’s modern economy, the DC said, since modern economy is dependent on bank for all economic activities, it is necessary to know and learn the rules and functions of the bank. He also suggested the bank to sensitize the public in financial literary.  

Stating that NstCB Ltd is the only bank sponsored and financed by the Government of Nagaland, Mor asked the public to follow bank rules and give co-operation to the bank so that it will progress. Aside from giving assistance to agri and allied activities in rural areas, he also encouraged the bank to focus on urban areas where the young educated unemployed youths can avail loans and assistance for entrepreneurial ventures. NstCB Ltd vice chairman Kekhwengulo Lea in his speech congratulated the management for their sincere service for the benefit of the public.  

He reminded that the bank gives special focus to uplift rural economy. He also encouraged the board of directors and management to give quality services to its valued customers.  

NstCB Ltd, Kohima district board of director T. Aba-o Kire lauded the tremendous and progressive change of the bank in the past years and expressed gratefulness to the staff of the bank.  

Kire stressed on the importance of bank in relation to the people and made an appeal to the government to continue to give priority and encouragement to the only local bank in Nagaland.  

He also suggested some rules and changes to be made to accommodate the people living in urban areas so that educated youth can be financed by the bank in various entrepreneurial activities in form of loans.
