KOHIMA, APRIL 22 (MExN): The Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB) Ltd will soon be opening new branches in the districts of Noklak, Longleng and Shamator. 

This was disclosed by Kekhwengulo Lea, vice chairman, NStCB who, along with AGM Mhathung Khuvung, undertook an assessment and interactive tour to Pfutsero, Phek, Wokha, Mokokchung, Changtonya, Tuli and Mon Branches from April 17 to 19.

According to a press release, the vice chairman maintained that the bank with its network of 21 branches has been a silent and unseen engine of growth for the state's economy and will continue to do so as new branches will be opened in Noklak, Longleng and Shamator.

At the same time, he also expressed appreciation to the staffs of NStCB for their dedication and sincerity towards the uplift of the economically weaker sections and the state's economy in general. He urged the staffs to “not only be proud of themselves but also exhibit our activities and products on a larger scale to all.”

He also emphasized on providing not only good but best customers service and urged them to educate the people on financial literacy and awareness as Nagas are lacking in this area.

The vice president further reminded the staffs of the importance of fulfilling KYC Policy and RBI/NABARD policies and regulations which are for the security and good for the bank as well as the customers. During the tour, the vice chairman also made assessment for providing hindrance free services to the customers which he assured would be taken up on priority.
