Participants of the park cleanup initiative organized by the NSUB and Reaching Hand.

Bangalore, July 21 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB), in collaboration with the NGO Reaching Hand, organized a park cleanup initiative at Dr. Rajkumar Park this weekend. This first-of-its-kind event for NSUB saw Naga students, working professionals, local governing bodies, and Reaching Hand volunteers come together to restore and beautify one of Bangalore’s cherished green spaces.
NSUB President Nungsangmongla Ozukum expressed her pride and satisfaction with the initiative, stating, "This project is very close to our hearts. For over five decades, the Naga community has found a second home here in Bangalore. It’s time we give back to the city that has embraced us with open arms. This cleanup drive is our way of showing gratitude and contributing to the well-being of our environment."

The collaboration with Reaching Hand was crucial, providing essential logistical support that ensured the event's success. Local residents who witnessed the cleanup expressed their appreciation for the efforts towards the park's restoration, commending the dedication and hard work of all involved.
Looking ahead, NSUB plans to continue its environmental initiatives and expand its partnerships. "We hope to expand such collaborations and that this effort will inspire others to take similar actions," added Nungsangmongla.
