
Dimapur, April 8 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) on the occasion of World Health Day organised a webinar on the theme ‘Health for all’ for the Nagas residing in Bangalore. Around 30 people attended the webinar.
The seminar was moderated by Veithriene Pao, Research Scholar from Christ University. The first speaker Amitabh Maisnam, Certified Personal Trainer from Mumbai emphasised the need for a healthy lifestyle by reminding the audience to regularly exercise and keep track of their intake of food. His discussion was based on his experience working with clients to enable practical application to the listeners.
The second speaker Lt Col Agiwangliu Newmai explained the importance of mental health by conceptualizing the idea of mental health, she also brought about a discussion on mental hygiene, mindfulness, etc. She put forward a poignant message to the listeners to constantly check on their mental health for a healthy and sustainable life.
The third speaker L Chumchano Ovung, D.Th from United Theological College spoke on health and spirituality, she begin her discussion with the understanding of health and spirituality from the perspective of Christianity and later draw a connection between health and spirituality by reminding the audience that their body was created in the image of God and that they should not abuse their body but rather live with righteousness and holiness.
Earlier, NSUB, President Sentsuthung Odyuo gave the welcome note. The programme ended with thanksgiving note by Martha Awungshi, General Secretary, NSUB, and concluded by the moderator.
