DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The Nito Theological College celebrated the 75th Anniversary of SBAK Education Ministry on September 22. The Education Ministry of SBAK- Nito Mount traces its origin to Aizuto Vernacular Bible Training School, 1949. This institute was established by Late Rev BI Anderson, American Baptist Missionary who came under the flagship of ABFMS.
In course of time, the nomenclature of the institute changed from AVBTS, BTI, NTI and presently as Nito Theological College, a press release issued by Dr Niholi Shohe, Principal NTC informed.
Rev Dr Akheto Sema, general secretary CBCNEI who graced the celebration, unveiled the monolith and released the college annual journal. Rev Kughato K Chophi, executive secretary, SBAK- Nito Mount delivered the message on 75th Anniversary theme “Retelling HIS Story.” Rev Zuhokhu Kiba, former headmaster pronounced the anniversary prayer and blessed the celebration.
Tony K, Academic Dean chaired the program, Kakugha S Rotokha, Chairman Planning Board delivered the welcome address,
Dr L Hutton Sumi, former principal released the anniversary souvenir and Dr A Niholi Sumi conveyed vote thanks to the founding members, patrons, donors, sponsors, churches and well wishers for being the support pillar of the college. More than 700 delegates attended the program.
