Kohima, January 5: The Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) has expressed deep shock over the gruesome murder of nine persons, including Harlongbi, General Secretary of Karbi Students’ Association (KSA), Bokajan area at Pachaspura near Chumukedima ‘A’. The NTC condemned the crime in the strongest term calling it “most barbaric and heinous.” In a press statement, NTC general secretary Nribemo Ngullie and Secy, I&P Theja Therieh stated, “Such despicable act have no place in a civilized society and the concern agencies should vigorously investigate and apprehend the culprits at all cost and punish them as per the law of the land.”
Meanwhile, NTC also vehemently condemned the assault on Akivito, a student of Christian Higher Secondary School, Dimapur on December 28, 2013, who succumbed to his injuries later. It appreciated the law enforcing agencies for their prompt action leading to the arrest of the prime accused. The NTC conveyed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the almighty God grant solace to the family in times of sorrow and grief.
