DIMAPUR, JULY 22 (MExN): The Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) today welcomed the appointment of RN Ravi as the new Governor of Nagaland.
“He has been the interlocutor of the Naga Peace talks for considerable years and has a wide-ranging knowledge about the issue of the people and political history of the Nagas,” a press note NTC President, Toniho Yepthomi and General Secretary, Nribemo Ngullie stated.
While congratulating the new Governor on his appointment, the NTC hoped that this would “usher a ray of hope to strengthen the dialogue between the Government of India and the Naga political groups for finding honourable and acceptable solution to the protracted Naga political problems at the earliest.”
