
Lumami, October 30 (MExN): The Nagaland University Students’ Union, Lumami Campus NUSU (L) conducted mass social work in the campus on October 21. The students of Political Science, Economics, Chemistry, Geography, Anthropology and Mathematics (Group A) cleaned the area from the Exam Section junction up to the security main gate. Sociology, Botany, Zoology, Physics, Mass Communication, Environmental Science and Forest Science (Group B) cleaned from the university main gate (Zero point) down towards the security main gate.
In view of keeping the university campus clean and green, the students through the initiative of Green Guard Club (L) also planted hundreds of trees alongside NH 2 (within university campus) and also inside the university campus. Dustbins were also placed inside the campus and along NH 2 (within university campus). The students also made bamboo benches inside the Nagaland University Foundation Stone Park both for faculty members and students.
A press note informed that the NUSU (L) organizes mass social work each semester in and around the university campus for clean, green and hygienic environment. The next mass social work is scheduled to be conducted next semester.
