NU observes National Unity Day

Kohima, November 3 (MExN): Nagaland University (NU), Lumami observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. 

A ‘Run for Unity’ was organized on October 31, which began from University Health Centre and culminated at the main Administration building. A brief speech was delivered by Professor MK Sinha, Department of Economics. Before flagging off the unity run, Professor Pardeshi Lal, Vice-Chancellor recollected the important role played by Patel for the cause of the country. Following the unity run, the taking of ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ pledge was led by Professor MK Sinha in Hindi and by Dr Abemo, Registrar in English. Peter Ki, PRO proposed the vote of thanks. The event was attended by teachers, officers, administrative staff, research scholars, and students including those of Kendriya Vidyalaya Lumami.
