Kohima, June 4 (MExN): In partial modification of the examination system No. B (ii) (a) of candidates with honours issued vide letter No. F-2-12/Acad/95-(Pt)-472 date 18th May 2006 and subject to ratification by the Academic Council, the Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University has notified the following as under.
• Candidates with honours must secure at least 35 percent marks in each theory paper. However, at the end of Three Year Degree Course examination, a minimum aggregate of 45 per cent in the subject shall be taken into consideration for declaring IInd class honours.
• A candidate may be allowed to switch over from honours to general only once after the Ist year degree examination.
• Distribution of honours papers for all three years may be made common as per the charts already accepted. Uniformity of distribution of papers with regard to political science, history, philosophy, education of chart 2 may be maintained. This was informed by NU’s Vice Chancellor Prof. B.S Chauhan in a notification.
