NU organises seminar on RTI sensitization

Lumami, October 25 (MExN): Nagaland University organized ‘one-day seminar on RTI sensitization’ on October 21 at its headquarters, Lumami.  

During the introductory session, Peter Ki, CPIO, RTI Cell, NU welcomed the dignitaries, resource persons, and the participants. Prof. N.S. Jamir, Vice-Chancellor In-Charge, delivered the exhortation. This was followed by short speeches from Prof. T. Lanusosang, Registrar, Prof. M.K. Sinha, Finance Officer and Dr. Abemo, Controller of Examinations.  

In the first session on ‘How to Use RTI, the panelists were Livitoli Sukhalu, EAC, Mokokchung, Pichano Kikon, EAC (P), and Rozy Sangtam EAC (P). In the second session on ‘Online RTI’, the resource person was N. Albert Khizho, Nodal Officer, RTI Cell, NU. The participants of the seminar were the Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) of University’s headquarters Lumami, campuses of Kohima, Medziphema, and Dimapur, as well as the Controlling Officers of headquarters Lumami.  

PRO & CPIO Peter Ki in a press release said that the seminar not only dwelt on the topic of RTI Act, 2005 and its uses, but also misuses and the steps being taken to counter it.
