Medziphema, June 30 (MExN): AICRP-Soybean, NU: SASRD, Medziphema organized farmers training at VK town, Zunheboto district in collaboration with KVK, Lumami on June 28 and at Mangkolemba, Mokokchung district in collaboration with SDAO, Mangkolemba on June 29 respectively.
A press release stated that Imtiwabang Aier, ADC, Mangkolemba graced the programme as chief guest and also distributed farm implements and improved seeds to the farmers. Altogether, 70 farmers participated at V.K. town with Dr. L. Tongpang Longkumer, Associate Professor, NU: SASRD and Dr Visakho, SMS, KVK, Lumami as Resource persons; while 90 farmers participated at Mangkolemba with Dr. L. Tongpang Longkumer, Associate Professor, NU: SASRD; Imkongtemsu Longchar, SDAO; Onglutsuba A.O. and Sunep A.O. as the resource persons.
The Farmers were trained on cultivation practices of Soybean and other economical crops relevant to the Agro-ecological situation of the area.
