Kohima, November 13 (MExN): The Department of Sports, Nagaland University (NU), organised the Inter Collegiate selection trial for Men’s football at its Kohima campus from November 9-11.
Students from different colleges participated in the selection trial, and 16 players and 2 reserved players were selected to represent the university by Watimenba Longchar, NU’s football coach.
The team will represent NU in the upcoming North East Zone Tournament scheduled from December 13-17 at Royal Global University, Guwahati.
The NU Team will leave Guwahati on November 11, led by the university’s Assistant Director of Sports, Mesanguto Meru as Team Manager and Longchar as Team Coach, informed y a press release from the PRO NU.

Bunty Singh (Kohima Science College); Khoazang (Unity College); Satminlal Haolai, Alumong, Vimegolie, M Chingom Konyak (Dimapur Government College); Nikaho Y. Tamang (Tetso College); Wangkap Konyak, Manpu Konyak, Chenbong H Konyak, Lokivi, Bharat Rai (Sakus Mission College); Wangtin (NU, Lumami), Wanglem (NU, Meriema); Yhoto Lohe (Kohima College); Thangboi Haokip (Modern College); and reserved players are Metsubo (Jubilee Memorial College) and Neichuvikho (Modern College)
