NU writes to ANCSU prez on “delayed” result declaration

Dimapur, June 29 (MExN): With the All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) consistently pressing for early declaration of the “delayed” BA result, the Controller of Examination I/c, Nagaland University Prof P Lal has written a letter to the ANCSU president clarifying on the matter. The letter also expressed that ANCSU’s “black badge” protest yesterday was unexpected “when the staff of examination branch of Nagaland University is putting its best possible efforts to declare the remaining results.”

The letter clarified that the Under Graduate (Annual) Examinations- 2013 started on April 4, 2013 due to general election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, and completed on April 27, 2013 and not April 17 as alleged by the ANCSU.  Further, it stated that examinations and results declaration involve the authority, teachers of under graduate colleges and the staff of examination branch of Nagaland University. The letter while extending gratitude to the authority and teachers of the colleges for their prompt action in evaluating the answer scripts said there were some problems in the evaluation process.

The letter reassured that the staff of examination branch is giving its best to declare the result at the earliest and expressed hope that the students understand this fact. The Controller of Examinations office while reiterating its stand that “there is no dilution in University concerned and belongingness to the students community on declaration of the result on due time”, affirmed that the examination branch is taking due care by way of checking and rechecking individual result to ensure correctness in the results.

Meanwhile, Prof P Lal has appealed to all the students’ community to understand the realities and extend their co-operation to enable the University to declare the result at the earliest. Further, he also invited ANCSU to pay a visit to Nagaland University Headquarters, Lumami to “see and share” with the authority.
