NUHM free medical camps in Dimapur

Dimapur, December 2 (MExN): As part of National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), the Urban Primary Health Centre, Burma Camp & Urban Primary Health Centre, Duncan Bosti, Dimapur conducted free medical camps at Forest colony, K Sachu colony, Indisen, Lotha church area, Kashiram, Zeliangrong village, DAM Govt Hr Sec School area and SM colony in the month of November.  

The initiative was headed by the MO i/c UPHC, Burma Camp, MO i/c Duncan Bosti, Urban Consultant, GNMs, ANMs along with other NUHM staffs of both the UPHCs supported by the Urban ASHA. A total of 822 patients including elderly people and children availed the free health services and free medicines were distributed to the patients.  

DAPCU mobile ICTC team and Urban Malaria team also attended the camps where 21 patients were tested for HIV and 15 for malaria respectively. Counseling on proper nutrition, timely ANC checkup, dengue awareness was also provided to the people.  

A press release stated that NUHM has coverage of 23 Wards in Urban Dimapur and conducts free health camps every month within its respective jurisdiction.
