Nursing College, Kohima to be made operational during 2007-08

Kohima, March 23 (MExN):  Under National Rural Health Mission, a College of Nursing attached to the Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima will be made operational during 2007-08, for which sanction has already been received and the matter taken up with the Nursing Council of India for necessary clearance. Stating this in Annual Administrative Report of the Health and Family Welfare department tabled in the floor of the house today, the report also stated that the setting up of another college of nursing at Dimapur Urban Hospital, with assistance of NECV is in the pipeline and will be made operational by 2008-09. Further, the establishment of a College of Pharmacology at Kohima and 3 nursing schools at Wokha, Phek and Mon is proposed to be taken up in the coming year, the report added.
