The 20th annual general conference of the Tenyimi Students’ Union Mokokchung (TSUM) was held at Town Hall, Mokochung under the theme ‘Nurturing Roots’.
R Daniel Angami, EAC Mokokchung, the resource speaker for the day stressed on the importance of dialect, which he said is a way of nurturing one’s own root and which preserves one’s identity, culture and heritage. He also encouraged the students to work harder and bring greater heights to the Tenyimi community.
New executives of TSUM for 2017-2018 was inducted in the conference with Dungailung as the President and Jetilo Apon as General Secretary.
The programme was chaired by Pelevinuo. Songs and other presentations were also performed while the note of gratitude was delivered by Beni Kent.
