DIMAPUR, MARCH 13 (MExN): The Nagaland University Students' Union, Lumami NUSU(L) kicked off its annual sports meet with Professor PardeshiLal, Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University as the guest speaker.
Earlier during the programme, K Buche Khiamniungan, President, NUSU (L) delivered the welcome address. A special prayer was invoked by Vikheto, Music secretary, EUNU (L) while a special song was presented by Chingmei Phom.
The guest speaker Prof. PardeshiLal in his address encouraged the need for sports for every student as it will enable them to build their physical strength and capacity. He also said that those who play sports have better pain enduring capacity. He further stressed that sport activities are vital for the growth of students in various aspects. After his speech, he kicked off and declared the sports meet open.
The programme was chaired by Hamlang and oath taking was administered by Nahpan Konyak, Asst. Games & sports secretary, NUSU (L).
