Mon, January 28 (MExN): The Network of Naga People Living with HIV and AIDS (NNP+) held coordination meet with the key stakeholders at Mon on January 28 at DC Chamber. Nutrition Support for HIV Positive Women of Mon district was formally launched there by Sarah. R. Ritse, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mon.
A press release issued by Chongtie Shiu, President, NNP+ stated that while speaking on the occasion, she challenged the people of Mon district to offer a holistic love, care and compassionate towards HIV positive people as HIV is a present reality in the society and also urged positive women to come out and access the facilities to enable them to live a healthy and meaningful life.
Chongtie Shiu, President, NNP+ highlighted the main objective of forming NNP+ as State level Secretariat for people living with HIV and AIDS in Nagaland and highlighted some major focus for the improvement of overall quality of people living with HIV and AIDS through District Level Networks and other Service Delivery Points. She also highlighted about the ongoing Advocacy Campaign on HIV and AIDS programme through the state with support from Legislators Forum on HIV and AIDS. Kehile, Women Coordinator, NNP+ highlighted about the issues of positive women and how NNP+ monitor the implementation of Nutrition support for positive women in the state.
Pangmei, Secretary, Walo Org. who chaired the meeting thanked the ADC, Mon, Women development and particularly the NNP+ Secretariat for their noble venture for the people of Mon district and also appreciated the participation of key stakeholders from different sectors. The programme concluded with pronouncing benediction by Ashim Konyak, Women Secretary, KBBB.
