Kohima, October 11 (MExN): Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) informed that the state selection in belt & free style wrestling will be held on October 18 at Khesoh's Grappling Academy, Bayavü, Kohima.
Akumla Chuba, director Youth Resource & Sports will grace the opening session as the special guest 10:30 AM.
Weighing for all categories will be done on spot by 9:00 AM.
NWA general secretary Vekhozo asked all the interested wrestler for both belt & free style wrestling to reach the venue by 8:30 AM with age proof certificate (for cadet & junior) without fail.
For belt wrestling, selection will be done in the cadet (16-17 years) Boys- 42, 47 and 53 kgs and Girls- 38, 42 and 46 kg.
Junior (18- 19 years): Boys- 54, 59 and 65 kg and Girls- 45, 50 and 56 kgs.
Senior (Men) for 57, 65, 74, 86 and 86 plus kg and Women- 53, 58, 63 and 69 kg.
The champion of belt wrestling in each category will represent the state at the forthcoming belt wrestling to be held at Hyderabad from November 21- 24, 2019.
Selection for free style will also be conducted on October 18.
It will be conducted in the category of 57, 65, 74, 86, 97, 97 plus kg for men and 50, 53, 57, 62, 68 and 78 kg for women category.
The champions in each category will represent the state at the national meet at Jalandhar from November 28 to 23.
