17 member team of the NWA in Gujurat on December 11.
Dimapur, December 12 (MExN): A 17 member team of the Naga Wrestling Association (NWA) has reached Ahmedabad, Gujarat to participate in the WFI Senior National Championship 2025, scheduled to be held from December 12 to 14.
The team has undergone a month-long training in Freestyle Wrestling and Greco Roman Wrestling from November 11 to December 9 at the National Wrestling Academy, Nandini Nagar, Gonda, Uttar Pradesh.
The NWA, though a press release, expressed its gratitude to WFI and all the coaches, trainers and staffs of the Academy for providing high quality training to the Naga wrestlers. The Team comprises of prominent Naga Wrestlers Venuzo Dawhuo and Huluyi D Vadeo along with other men and women wrestlers. The Team is lead by the President of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) Vivolie Kezo along with Vekhriyi Chuzho, Rangsilang Ikierimbe and Mezhiesino Keyho as coaches.

In the Men’s Fresstyle Wrestling category, the team includes Lichumthung C Kikon (65KG), Zayievoto Kiso (70Kg) And Kusayi Tsutso (74Kg).
In the Men’s Greco Roman category, the team includes Kheseto Zütso (60Kg), Masharuta Sharü (63 Kg), Ketouzotuo Tepa (67 Kg), Jubilee Pfithu (72 Kg), Keneiselie Khawakhrie (77 Kg), Venuzo Dawhuo (97 Kg), Huluyi D Vadeo (130 Kg) And Thejanguzo Pfukha (55 Kg).
In the Women’s Wrestling category, the team comprises of Vekhonielu Curhah (55 Kg), Khrielhounuo Thevo (76 Kg), Yaluka Tranyu (57 Kg), Putifi Sharu Pfithu (50 Kg) And Nyurhunle Tep (53 Kg).
