‘NWHD can press on to usher in understanding’

Dimapur, February 3 (MExN): The Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) stated that it is deeply disappointed with the Government of Nagaland on ULB “controversial” issues. NWHD, General Secretary, Vimenuo Angami in a press note stated that the NWHD appeal letter in January 27 echoed the sign of danger which could have been averted if Government and JACWR have given heed. “We cannot change the past but NWHD can press on to usher in understanding among women, being mothers to acquire peaceful environment in bringing women to decision making body, in consultation with Naga council as men and women have to co-exist to bring development,” NWHD statement added. Terming January 31 as “Bloody Tuesday”, NWHD made an appeal to all Nagas to restrain and maintain calmness to pave ways to Naga leaders, tribal women and government to work on Municipal Act as early as possible to usher in favourable content. NWHD also fervently request churches to “continuously pray for understanding, peace and unity to progress in our land.”
