KOHIMA, DECEMBER 9 (MExN): The Nyekhatsomi Union Kohima held its 1st Family Gathering Program under the chairmanship of Vedayi Nyekha, former president Chakhesang Public Organization. The event was hosted by Kühusayi Nyekha & family on December 7 at Kruzo Park, Tsiesema Basa.
The programme commenced with invocation by Rev Thüpu-o Nyekha and an awakening song presented by Aralü Phesao & Jojo Sasü.
Padma Shree Sano Vamuzo was the key speaker. In her speech, she referred the past from Adam and Eve to today's contemporary age and wishes everyone to live a blessed life.
Rev Zhowhüyi Nyekha, who is the oldest serving senior Pastor in Kohima as he turn 94, prayed for Nyekhatsomi generation.
Zaveyi Nyekha (Retd) Principal Director, School Education, highlighted a brief past record of Nyekha fore-fathers.
Vevo Sapuh, (Retd) Director of Art & Culture also exhorted the gathering while Mülüzolü Nyekha enthralled the gathering with melodious song.
While giving thanks to Almighty God, the Union also presented the certificate of appreciation to 10 (ten) outstanding personalities in different fields from Nyekha Clan.
