Organized by the Chang Wedoshi Setshang and Chang Sports Association, the tournament has attracted intense competition, with Nyenshen FC showing why they remain a team to watch, despite their absence.

Nyenshen, led by Head Coach Avar Danla (AFC ‘C’ License), got off to a shaky start, conceding an early goal in the 5thminute, when K Alemba of Donsang FC slipped one past the defense. However, Nyenshen was unfazed by the early setback. They found their rhythm quickly, and in the 10thminute, star striker GaipuilanDangmei leveled the score, opening what would be a floodgate of goals.

With the match now back in balance, Nyenshen took control, creating several scoring opportunities. From there, Nyenshen never looked back, asserting their dominance on the field. The second match of the day, between DEF Tuensang and Northeast Youngster Football School from Churchandpur, Manipur, ended in a 0-0 draw. Though the scoreboard remained unchanged, the match was anything but dull. Both teams engaged in a hard-fought contest, marked by tough tackles, swift counterattacks, and solid defensive performances. The match saw four yellow cards issued by the referee, a testament to the intensity of the play on the pitch.

As the tournament progresses, fans can look forward to more exciting matchups. On October 23, Son Kuk Laang FC will face Upper Defence Chingmelen FC at 12:00 pm, followed by Waza FC taking on Tiaren FC at 2:00 pm.
