NYK Tuensang conducted a four-day programme in celebration of the first anniversary of Mera Yuva Bharat (MYBharat) from October 27 to 30.

Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Tuensang conducted a four-day programme in celebration of the first anniversary of Mera Yuva Bharat (MYBharat), an initiative by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports aimed at empowering India’s youth from October 27 to 30.
The event, held in collaboration with the Chang Students’ Union Tuensang Town (CSUTT) and Bazar A Market Union, took place at key locations in Tuensang, including the main bazaar area, Traffic Point, and District Hospital.
During the programme, District Youth Officer Kishor Barman of NYK Tuensang provided an overview of MYBharat’s objectives, which focus on fostering youth development through equitable access to opportunities powered by technology. Launched on October 31, 2023, MYBharat operates as an autonomous entity under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, supporting youth-led initiatives across 500 districts in India.
Khalilur Rahaman, president of Bazar ‘A’ Market Union, extended his gratitude to the Chang Students’ Union and all participants, commending their efforts in organizing the program. President of the Chang Students’ Union Tuensang Town, Kaimang, expressed thanks to NYK for facilitating the event and emphasized the program's importance for community engagement.
On October 30, the final day of the event, a cleanliness drive was led by NYK and its collaborators at Bazar ‘A’ Market, Traffic Point, and District Hospital. Volunteers and participants cleaned and sanitized the areas, while engaging local business owners to promote awareness of hygiene and the significance of maintaining clean public spaces.
This Diwali program serves as a part of the MYBharat mission to involve young people in community-focused efforts, underscoring the importance of youth-led development initiatives in local communities across India.
