Kohima, March 18 (MExN): The Annual Sports Week 2025 of the Oking Christian School Kohima commenced today.
Gracing that inaugural ceremony at Jubilee Hall CBCK, Kelhikha Kenye, Deputy Mission Director Samagra Shiksha Nagaland, encouraged the students to embrace healthy physical exercise habits in their daily life to ensure physical fitness and sound mental health.
He cited the World Health Organization (WHO) report where about 1 out of 5 children suffer mental health issues and urged the students to embrace healthy exercise in the daily activities.
He also encouraged the students to support their parents in doing the household chores cheerfully.
Touching on National Education Policy 2020, Kenye said that art, music, and sport integration have been envisaged in achieving holistic competency based quality education. Kenye urged upon the students to always stay positive and embrace healthy habits.
Earlier, the inaugural ceremony was led by Hanjile Jemu while Ketoulhoutuo delivered welcome address. Y. Ponie administered oath to the participating teams.
