 
                          
                  
KOHIMA, OCTOBER 26 (MExN): The Home Department has declared October 28, 2025 (Tuesday), the polling day for Ward-11 (Zhipa) under Pfutsero Town Council, as a paid holiday for all State and Central government employees registered as electors in the ward, to enable them to participate in the elections.
The notification also applies to employees enrolled as electors under Ward-11 but ordinarily residing or working in other wards. Under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the day is similarly declared a paid holiday for employees of banks and financial institutions in Nagaland registered as electors in the ward.
Additionally, under Section 10 of the Nagaland Shops and Establishment Act, 1982, shops and commercial establishments owned, managed, or run by persons registered as electors in Ward-11 will remain closed during polling hours to facilitate voting.
