Officers Club Mokokchung felicitates toppers

Mokokchung, May 7 (DIPR): The monthly meeting of Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held on May 7 under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel IAS, at the Conference Hall of ADC (Planning) Mokokchung.   In the meeting, the Officers Club Mokokchung felicitated 3 HSLC and 4 HSSLC Toppers from Mokokchung District. Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung Sushil Kumar Patel IAS gave away citation and cash amount of Rs. 3000/- each to all the toppers.   Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung gave a power point presentation on May 1Disaster in Mokokchung district. He also mentioned his appreciation to all individuals, Departments and NGOs involved for their invaluable support and contributions towards the affected people in the district in the time of Disaster. He also appealed the members to be alert and active in times of any disaster and asked to inform him on time should anything happen in the district so that the District Administration could quickly respond. DC also reminded all Head of Offices to give prior information to him should any of the officers had to leave station.  

In order to effectively carry out works during the time of Disaster, Disaster Management Officer, Mokokchung, Wangshi, requested the Power Department to immediately respond by going to the nearest site saying that if the power line is not cut it is difficult to carry out works. He further informed the people to call 2225103 or1070 (Toll Free) to inform about any disaster happened in the district so that help could reach in time.   Agendas for opening of a tribal girls hostel at GHSS Senayangba, construction of a bridge at Kangtsung Yimsen, which would connect Mokokchung district with Seivasgar District in Assam and Watsu Mungdang to have one permanent membership in DPDB Mokokchung, were discussed and forwarded to the government for consideration. Registration of societies and change of society Nomenclature were also approved by the house and forwarded for consideration.
