Officials inspects new KMC dumping site

Kohima: Representatives of government officials from urban development department, CEO Kohima Municipal Council, Angami Public Organization (APO), Northern Angami Public Organization (NAPO), Kohima Village Council and Mereima Village Council (MVC) on Tuesday inspected the Medi, Kohima dumping site.

The new KMC dumping site will cover an areas of 93 acres, is located 8 kms away from high school junction, Kohima. In March, Nagaland’s chief minister Neiphiu Rio also visited the site and since then work construction such as road cutting, culverts and drainage works are on.

However, it was observed the state government need to activate and more funds be allotted so that the works to the site is completed at the earliest before the onset of monsoon.

The new dumping site needs to be completed at the earliest so the denizens of state capital get from respite to dispose of their waste materials and garbage’s. Further, it was learn that the new dumping was surveyed through the GPS.
