OHYO cracks down on anti-social activities in Officers' Hill Colony

Kohima, July 31 (MExN): In response to the rising incidents of anti-social activities in and around the Officers' Hill Colony in Kohima, the Officers' Hill Youth Organisation (OHYO)  has stepped up its vigilance and enforcement efforts.

It stated that despite issuing earlier warnings and press releases, the organisation observed that such activities have continued to increase, prompting it to reaffirm its previous resolutions and impose stricter measures.

According to the latest directives, the use of intoxicants, including psychotropic drugs and alcohol, as well as hosting parties within the colony's jurisdiction, is strictly prohibited. Additionally, acts such as littering, eve-teasing, and creating public nuisances have also been banned.

The OHYO has further prohibited reckless driving practices, particularly along the stretch from the Badminton Indoor Stadium to Raj Bhavan, citing the need to ensure public safety.

To implement these measures, OHYO warned that it will be conducting routine checks, and any individuals found violating the rules will be forwarded to law enforcement agencies without prior warning.

In this regard the organisation has urged all residents and visitors to cooperate in maintaining a peaceful and secure environment within the Officers' Hill Colony. Members of the public are encouraged to report any complaints or violations through the OHYO helpline numbers: 9436830111, 9436633431, and 8794208099.
