OKA FC wins 1st DDFRA Tournament

Morung Express News Dimapur | April 18 OKA FC emerged as the champions of the 1st DDFRA Open Football Tournament edging Naga Terriers by a solitary goal in the final at the DDSC Stadium on Wednesday.  

Kekhrie scored the winning goal for OKA FC in the 73rd minute helping OKA FC pocket the champion’s prize of Rs. 50,000. Runner-up Naga Terriers had to be content with Rs. 25,000.  

A total of 30 teams competed in the tournament which was organised by the Dimapur District Football Referee Association (DDFRA).  

Meanwhile, the individual prize for Best Defender was claimed by Hemping of Naga Terriers while Jagodish of BSA was adjudged the Best Goalkeeper. Sunep from Rainbow Club was awarded the Most Promising Player. The award for the Best Disciplined Team went to Jonite.
