Old Jalukie Village Council cautions on unauthorized land transactions

JALUKIE, MARCH 3 (MExN): The Old Jalukie Village Council (OJVC) has reiterated that individuals or parties engaging in the buying or selling of land within Jalukie jurisdiction without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) will be doing so at their own risk.

In a statement, the council warned that despite repeated notifications through press and social media, certain individuals continue to engage in unauthorized land transactions.

It said that, as the native and traditional custodian of the land, any land transaction without its due approval "will be deemed illegal and subject to necessary legal and customary actions." The OJVC urged all "right-thinking citizens" to refrain from purchasing land in Jalukie without proper documentation from Old Jalukie village to avoid disputes or misunderstandings.

It advised individuals seeking land-related clarifications to approach the Village Council for necessary approvals to ensure a transparent and lawful process.
