OMHYO directs shops to close by 8:00 pm

Kohima, June 20 (MExN): The Old Ministers’ Hill Youth Organization (OMHYO) has decided that all the shops under its jurisdiction should close by 8:00 pm.   In its meeting held on June 17 at the colony Panchayat hall, the organization also directed all the shops, schools and hotels to put up proper sign boards with their names and correct addresses.   Every household or inhabitant, including shops, hotels and schools under the jurisdiction should not throw wastes and rubbishes improperly; sanitation measure should be taken around its area, the meeting also resolved.   Meanwhile, it decided that any student found under alcohol influence or in possession of intoxicated things will be strictly dealt with according to the constitution.   Double parking around the colony will not be allowed from 7:30 am to 4:30pm for the smooth flow of vehicle passage, it added.   A press release from OMHYO president, Metevi Zao and secretary, Metenozo Savi further informed that any organization, group or party organizing any event or programme under the jurisdiction should give prior information to the colony youth president or the chairman of the colony for the smooth conduct and welfare of the people.   For any assistance within the colony, the general public can call the helpline numbers: 9436001384-Metevi, 7005605794- Roko, 9402717927- Metenozo.   The youth organization also informed that there will be mass social work on June 24 from 6:00 am to 9:00 am in the colony, where one member from every household will have to compulsorily take part.   The organization has requested the general public and its colony member to co-operate for peace and welfare of the colony.
