The NNC has been working relentlessly for Naga Unity and was remaining silent and order to avoid creating further misconceptions and confusions regarding the Naga National Movement, but NNC was given no choice but to let the cat out of the bag following one Rali Wali’s write-up stating that, ‘One duplicate NNC is now caught’ in the local dailies. This misdemeanor against the NNC is deserving of much condemnation from all sections if we examine the following points:
It is well aware that, the FGN unwittingly signed the Shillong Accord of 1975 which brought them to their present state. That is, they have to reside in a transit camp. The NNC therefore, is in no position to bring them or whatever devious schemes they are operating back into the fold. In order to disseminate further confusions they must stick to what they had fumbled and not bring in consequences of their foolery under the banner of NNC. The Naga public is also aware that, the group is a deserter, and a renegade in the Naga National Movement and they should parade around under the banner of ‘Accordist’ instead of NNC through which treaty they have sold their rights since 1975 which no doubt became their undoing.
Furthermore, the NNC Lotha Region advises individuals against branding the NNC Information and Publicity Wing as ‘duplicate’ and not to further this image assassination of this authentic department. Continuing this barrage of abuse will result in us letting all your dirty linens out of the closet.
