Kohima, March 30 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan has extended Easter greetings to all on the occasion of Easter Sunday.
“Easter is celebrated each year around the world with great reverence. On this blessed day, let us celebrate the testament of God’s love to humanity and the spirit of forgiveness. May the resurrection of Jesus Christ fill all our hearts with joy, hope and brings abundant blessings to all,” the Governor conveyed in his Easter Greetings.
The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio in a tweet posted, “Jesus’ greatest act of love on Good Friday is followed by the greatest act of power on Easter Sunday, which is His resurrection. May the miracle of Easter bring renewed love, hope and joy in our lives. I wish everyone a happy and a blessed Easter.”
Dy CM and BLP leader Y Patton also has greeted the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Easter Sunday. Patton said that “Easter Sunday is a very significant occasion celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which has opened the doors of salvation to generations. The supreme sacrifice on the cross is a manifestation of the true Gospel of Love.” On behalf of the state BJP legislators, the Dy CM conveyed happy Easter greetings to all and prayed for God's blessings and healing in our land.
The NPP party workers led by their MLA and President A Nyamnyei Konyak said that Easter Sunday is the cornerstone of Christianity, a holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. “For Christians, Easter signifies triumph over death and the promise of eternal life. The resurrection of Jesus is seen as a core tenet of the faith, fulfilling prophecies and offering hope to believers. Easter Sunday is more than just a day on the calendar. It's a vibrant tapestry woven from tradition, faith, and the enduring message of hope,” it stated in a press release.
“We pray that the Spirit of Easter Sunday reverberates in hearts of all the Christians in the State and spread the message of Hope and Joy in all our hearts,” it stated.
