Peren, March 2 (MExN): The Forest Protection Force of Intanki National Park ‘A’ Range apprehended one Haijieging for illegally entering the National Park and seized one 12 bore gun from his possession on February 3.
The offender was released on bond while the bore gun was kept under the custody of Forest Protection Force at Protection Camp for further necessary action, informed a press release received here.
Meanwhile, on March 1, Forest Protection Force of ‘B’ Range seized bush meat (deer and wild boar) and one live juvenile porcupine at Ahthibung Forest Check Gate from passengers bound for Jalukie. The seized bush meats were disposed off by burning and burying at the premise of Ahthibung Forest Beat in the presence of representative from Administration, Adhoc Town Committe Ahthibung and forest personnel, while the juvenile porcupine was handed over to the Nagaland Zoological Park authority, the release added.
