Kiphire, February 20 (MExN): 7 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) apprehended one person allegedly involved in illegal arms manufacturing during an operation conducted in Hotunger village of Kiphire district on February 20. A press release from Assam Rifles stated that the apprehended person was in possession of one 12 bore rifle, one 0.22mm rifle, six live rounds, five barrels and other accessories. The apprehended individual identified as Kiuthrum Yimchunger along with the recovered arms and ammunition was handed over to Kiphire Police Station for further investigation, the release added.
