Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): On March 27, at around 0030 hrs., a written railway memo was received at Government Railway Police Station (GRPS), Dimapur that one unidentified person was lying dead in KM 258/3 at Railway Station, Dimapur.
Accordingly, the duty party rushed to the PO site and found one (non-local male) age around 35-40 yrs. (approx.) lying dead between KM 258/2 and KM 258/3 at the railway track. “The severed head of the deceased was found lying inside the train track and the rest of the body was found intact and lying outside the train track. It is highly suspected that the deceased was run over by a running train,” Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime) & PRO, Dimapur stated in a press release.
On completion of all legal formalities the dead body has been shifted to District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination and identification. The deceased was wearing blue T-shirt and brown long pant with boxer inside the pant, it stated.
