One-day workshop on PMEGP in Dimapur

Morung Express News Dimapur | February 19   A one-day state level workshop on Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) was held at Town Hall, Dimapur on Friday with Member of KVIC (NEZ) and ex-MP (Lok Sabha) Narayan Chandra Borkataky as the chief guest.   Encouraging the entrepreneurs, Borkataky urged them to take advantage of the different incentives provided by MSME ministry and utilize the benefits of PMEGP. Stating that most of the entrepreneurs were first generation entrepreneurs needing support from agencies, the chief guest appealed the agencies such as DIC and KVI Board in all districts to extend their cooperation and support the entrepreneurs.   At the state level, the scheme is implemented through the state KVIC directorates, state Khadi and Village Industries Boards (KVIBs) and District Industries Centres (DICs) and banks. The government subsidy is being routed by the KVIC through the indentified banks for distribution to the beneficiaries/ entrepreneurs to the bank accounts.   Later in the afternoon, during the technical session, a power point presentation was presented by Nodal Officer (PMEGP), KVIC Dimapur, Y.K. Shohe.   The programme was attended by entrepreneurs and officials of various departments.
